M. Jean McKemie is a Professor in the Mathematics Department of St. Edward's University . Also I am a member in the Mathematics/Computer Sciences Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research CUR ; a member of the American Mathematical Society, Association of Women in Mathematics, also Sigma Xi, and the Mathematical Association of America. What I Do Mathematically

In case you didn't know, there is a whole lot of mathematics research going on these days. New and exciting things are discovered all the time, even though it rarely makes the local news. I, too, am always working on something new. St. Ed's is an undergraduate institution, so I look at all sorts of things with my undergraduate students. Click Undergraduate research supervised to see a variety of things I have helped students read papers about and investigate a bit on their own. My own research has been in the area of Complex Analysis, and more precisely, in the area of quasiconformal (and related) mappings. A source of information in these areas is the AMS site. Or for journals Conformal Geometry and Dynamics and Journal of the Finnish Academy of Science.
