Descendants of Vaclav and Josephine Cada

Vaclav Cada was born in Dobriv, CR, about 6 km from Prikosice and about 22 miles east of Plzen. His wife Josephine (Reindl) Cada was probably born near the same town. On coming to the United States, they settled in the Cleveland, OH, area. Vaclav was a stone mason by trade. He returned to visit Czechoslovakia in 1932 and died there, being buried in Dobriv.

Gregory Cada's research on this branch says:
All 12 children were born before 1900. Nettie and James, Jr. have documented deaths before 1900. This is consistent with the 1900 U.S. census which shows 10 of 12 children living when this census was taken. By the time the 1910 census was taken, only 7 of 12 were reported still surviving and all seven have documented deaths after 1910. Julia and Marie died in 1909 or 1910. Joseph was the third child to die between the 1900 and 1910 census dates.
Joseph is last listed in the 1899-1900 Cleveland City Directory but not listed as living with the family, his last recorded address, in the 1900 census. He must have lived elsewhere because he is shown in a family picture when Frank, born in 1901, appears to be 3 or 4 years old. This dates Joseph's life to at least 1904. As Joseph appeared as a clerk [1894-1895] in the Directory before James's appearance as a painter [1895-1896], he is assumed to be the older of the two.

We have a few leads to help locate descendents. Robert O'Brien, son of Frances Plevney O'Brien is known to have graduated from Fordham University. Freddie Martin, son of Julia and Frank Martin, was a band leader during the 30s, 40s, and 50s.
