A short history of Josef & Barbora Cada
Josef Cada was born in Konratice, Bohemia, and never came to the U.S. He was a cottager and journeyman tailor in Milinov. He married Barbara Smolik from Milinov. Tomas Cada was born in Milinov. Four sons and a daughter, of their seven children, came at different times to the United States. Theodore came in 1908 and send for his wife and four children in 1909, settling in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Vaclav, called James, Eduard, and Anna settled in Cleveland, OH. The fifth sibling, Bohumil, was the last of the immigrants, arriving in Cleveland in 1921 with his wife Marie.
