Dolly and her two children in 1933. Donna Deane was about 6 years old and Robert Elick was 4. She lived far from the other Chadas and adopted many of Elick's Norwegian traditions. After Kleve's untimely death from a heart attack in 1937, Dolly continued to live for a few more years in McClusky, ND. She then took her children and moved to Bismark, where she was the administrative assistant to one of the supreme court justices.
